GoPro have just released an awesome new gadget so that you can get professional quality 3D footage without spending a million quid!
It is called the GOPRO 3D HERO SYSTEM. It will be available in our store from the end of April, we are seriously stoked and cannot wait to get out on the water and try one out.
In the box you get a cool, waterproof case (which fits 2 GoPro 1080p HD Heros in it), you also get a sync cable which means your cameras run perfectly in time – this is essential for getting pro quality 3D footage. They also give you 3 pairs of 3D (Anaglyph) glasses and loads of extra fittings for sticking your new camera mounting in loads of cool positions. But don’t fear, you can still use all your old fittings, they haven’t changed how it attaches.
And… as if that wasn’t already enough for your money, they also lob in some free editing software which they have made really simple and easy to get your head round so that you can get your footage up on youtube, vimeo or your 2D or 3D TV in no time!
Got any 3D glasses lying around at home?
Pop them on and watch this…. (Dont forget to pop it into 1080p for the ultimate viewing experience!)
They have also just brought out some new BacPacs, these are super slim add ons for your Go Pro to make is even cooler and more usable when you’re shooting on the move!
Firstly, the new GoPro Hero LCD BacPac Screen. GoPro’s answer to seeing what you’re shooting. Ever got back from a days filming and realised half of your footage has come out useless? This totally fixes that. It gives the ability to both, see whilst you shoot and also to do playback between shots to make sure you’re happy with how things are looking! It comes with all the bits and bobs you need to get set up. Waterproof covers, Non-waterproof covers and even a years warranty!
Secondly, the new Go Pro Hero Battery BacPac. This slimline add on is a necessity if you’ve ever found yourself running out of battery whilst filming. It nearly doubles the recording time you can get out of the camera. And can also be used to charge up your spare batteries via any USB port. As an extra little finishing touch, GoPro stuck on some battery indicator lights so you can keep track of how long you’ve got left.
With both of the new BacPac add-ons you may need to run a firmware update on your camera. Please note: They are also only usable with the full HD 1080p model of the Go Pro. Its simple to update. Follow the link above.
