Each rider gets just 5 hits to impress the judges. Prizes are for best over all rider and best trick. By there own admissions, the organisers/builders of the pool gap didn’t make it easy for skaters year. They even got a letter apologising in advance of the event saying it was tough for wakeskaters. This didn’t stop them pushing themselves and pulling off some sick s**t. Si Powell deserves a medal for carrying on riding after taking a bad fall.
Still the sun was out, the music was booming off the Relentless stage and the skaters were all well up for it.
Best overall rider and best trick went to Will Bradley for finishing with a front side board slide to big spin off.

Wakestock 2010 Wakeskate finals and Results

Skate legend Billy “Fish” O’Neill, who is one of the most looked up to skaters in rolling ever, was honoured with the ultimate reward a skater can receive – his own pro model. Fish’s first pro shoe is made of genuine Nubuck leather with leather lining, rubber outsole and super comfortable insole and padding.
Chris Haffey’s second Jug pro shoe is made of the finest materials money can buy: Genuine Nubuck leather on the upper, soft pig skin on the inside, high rebound PU material for the insole and a wear resistant rubber for the outsole is setting the bar for sneakers a few notches higher. The Haffey LT features waxed laces with metal tips, a second pair of black laces in the box and an image of Chris’s tattoo on the insole.

I know the snow seems like it months away, and to be honest we are all praying for more of this blissful sunshine, but you must be prepared. Every year we sell out of certain models of snowboards and bindings before we even have the 1st frost on the ground. So this year we’ve got the stock in early to give our customers 1st dibs!!
There are some sick boards this season and some limited editions that won’t be around long.
So here’s a heads up on a few winners. We have personally ridden all of these models and can confidently says you’ll love them. If you don’t, you need to consider joining the dark side and becoming a dirty skier!! “/
So here is K2 Snowboards and Ride Snowboards winners!
For the park riders out there:
K2’s Jib Rocker makes this bad boy a proper weapon – Rock Out With Your Weapon Out!
So you like to RIDE? Oh yeah, you like to RIDE……RIDE!!!!!
We here’s Ride Snowboards Jib stick of choice
THE RIDE CRUSH
Crush the rails, pipes and kickers on this monster
Next we move on to my personal stick of choice. Yep, this is what I Ride!!
THE RIDE SNOWBOARDS MACHETE
As the name suggests, its a killer. It kills everything. All mountain, park riding, powder hunting or even a bit of piste bashing, it kills the lot, it chews out up and spits it out!
THE K2 SLAYBLADE
I’m going to be totally honest with this next board, I didn’t want to like it. I must say, not only because I thought last years graphics sucked…but a FLAT based board???? Ok so we all loved standard camber boards, Then came RC, reverse camber, rocker camber, v rockers, chilly dogs, banana’s and every other name they have….. but a flat based. This just couldn’t work!!!!
WRONG!! It does, oh boy it does! This board goes exactly where you tell it to go, it’s super stable, super fast & no board chatter. Yep, I love this board. Especially as K2 have nailed a sick graphic this year. Pipe, park, piste, powder….YEP SLAYS them all.
You want a race, I’ll race ya, bagsy riding a Slayblade
You may have seen a sneaky peak of this design at the winter Olympics as UK rider Ben Kilner was ripping down the pipe on it.
Any finally…… SOMETHING FOR THE LADIES!!!
It has to be the K2 Va Va Voom
In short, its a Women’s WWW
With the Nikita collab it looks sick! I wish they did this colour big enough for me to ride!
For all you rocker haters out there. Before you slate a rocker, ride any K2 or Ride rocker. Let me tell you these guys got it right. Whether its K2’s Jib rocker, all terrain rockers or even there powder rocker, they are all flat between your legs. The rocker starts at you feet! This way you get the control of a standard camber, but the ease of riding and fun of a rocker. The same goes for Ride….. similar bases, different names, Rides low rise, pro rise, and high rise rockers. All flat your legs, rockered at your feet.
Still can’t get your head around it? OK get a K2 flatline base or a Ride Pro rise.
Zac Cummings is 14 years old, dyslexic and a brilliant artist! Zac has always loved to draw and is very visually aware. In the Autumn of 2009 Zac applied for a grant from Leicestershire County Council, ‘Find Your Talent’ team. He was awarded £250 in January 2010. With the support of his friend Community Artist Winsome Ruddock as mentor Zac has gone on to produce a fantastic body of work. Using acrylic and ink on canvas he has developed what he calls DROODLING which once his background colour/s have been applied involves manipulating the paint whilst wet and then, once dry applying ink.
The journey for him has been amazing, building his confidence daily! His School, Hastings High, Burbage has been very supportive and Zac has even taken classes and shown other pupils his techniques.
He has submitted, and has had accepted 3 pieces at the Ten 2 Gallery in Hinckley for their Summer Exhibition (5/6/10 to 13/7/10) and will have his own solo exhibition at The Gallery, Hinckley Library, Hinckley Leicestershire LE10 0AT. This will run from 5/7/10 to 13/8/10 and Zac will be present for a ‘meet the artist’ opportunity on Thursday 8th July 5.30 to 7.30 (Hinckley Mayor has confirmed her attendance) and for a family interactive day on Saturday 10th July. Zac has come up with the idea of producing a ‘Community Canvas’ on the Saturday encouraging others to have a go at his style of art! there will be other activities too!
Also on 19th July 2009 Zac will be attending and displaying his work at The British Dyslexia Association’s Open Day in Leicester. They have also asked if he will display his work at a special exhibition of dyslexic artist’s work in November to promote National Dyslexic Awareness Week.
He has arranged to have his ’skull’ image screen printed onto t shirts, and a Born Extreme, Hinckley, has agreed to take them for sale.
To think 6 months ago he had not put any paint on a canvas ever, and that all of these images were within him is incredible — he is truly an inspiration!
Zac also Volunteers for the Hinckley Charity SNIPS, helping young people with learning and social disabilities. He is an awesome drummer too!
Zac has featured in the Leicester Mercury, Burbage Advertiser, Hinckley Times.
ITV Central News and BBC East Midlands News are filming him in July 2010. Check out Zac on the BBC website,
